Sample Submission Guidelines
It should be noted that the quality of the results for
these projects are heavily tied to the attention paid to the selection,
packaging and transportation of the critical samples. Due diligence
must be applied to these tasks to prevent inadvertent cross
contamination between the samples and packaging or environment. Related
precautions include:
-
Isolate samples with a low out-gassing over-wrap.
Clean, heavy gauge aluminum foil or glass containers with Teflon
seals work well for
this purpose.
-
Avoid writing on plastic samples or sample bags with
ink markers or pens.
-
Avoid attaching adhesive labels to samples or sample
bags.
-
Avoid high volatiles package filler materials such as
Styrofoam ‘peanuts’ etc.
